24 09 2008 Hulu has added anime including dubbed Mushishi. Little Busters Ecstasy OP… are we going to get Little Busters before or after Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya? Interesting YouTube clip of Wario. Japan gets a new Alice Prime Minster, some Code Geass with a side of gar, the final Gurren Lagann Parallel Works video (disappointed it wasn’t a hot springs one but still a cool prequel), and, finally, the original Gundam Wing Toonami promo. Toonami used to do GODLY promos, and then they went away from that, and I think that’s a major factor in its demise. If they can do that with Gundam Wing, think of how exciting they could make Code Geass seem. (29)

28 07 2006 ANN and Hollywood Reporter note that live action Mushishi will premire at the Venice Film Festival… wha? Live action Ginko!?! And no one told me!?! Directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, director of Akira and Steamboy. Hopefully, it won’t suck and be more like GTO or H2 live action than YUA live action… Mariah Carey… *shudders*. (0)

I’ve been promising a post on Mushishi for a while, and I wanted to it justice. It’s been a while since I have crossed paths with a series as unique as Mushishi, and I think I’m developing a man-crush on Ginko. Mushishi isn’t about splashy animation, giant robots, underaged fanservice, alien frogs, twincest assassins, romance between cousins, [insert typical anime cliche], hawt jungle luv, long stories, nor nekomimi meido. Yet… why does it appeal to me so much? My search for answers leads me to somewhere between light and darkness…
